Early Years Inclusion Workshop Series 1

• Workshops can be taken individually.
• Individuals who participate in all five workshops may also complete a portfolio and be awarded an Introduction to Inclusion Level 1 certificate.
• Individuals who choose to complete the requirement for a Level 1 certificate may also request course credit in the Early Years Inclusive Education Certificate program after completing a portfolio ( cost for portfolio requirements and assessment $100.00)
Workshops are each 5 hours in length. (9:30 - 3:30) Cost $50.00 per workshop

• Inclusion: Principals and Practice -
• Communicating Effectively and Building Parent and Professional Partnerships-
• Administrative Issues -
• Social Inclusion and Peer Relationships
• Developing and Implementing Intervention Plans

Early Years Inclusive Education Certificate - Part-time Study - Truro
The program accessible to professionals currently working in the field through courses in evening sessions and possibly through summer institutes. The program would consist of 5 separate modules. At the completion of each module, if successful, students would be presented with certificate indicating their success. After accumulating all 5 modules students would eligible to graduate with the Early Years Inclusive Education Certificate
Modules:

Inclusion and Early Intervention (½ credit)
Practical Application (½ credit)
Differences in Learning & Behaviour (full credit)
Communication Concerns (full credit)
Physical Differences (full credit)
Supervised Practicum (½ credit)

Participants may choose individual workshops or ladder up to a certificate.
